The "Case of Non-Globalization" in the Wireless Telecommunication Industry

Di Minin, A., and C. Palmberg (2006). "A case for non-globalization? The organization of R&D in the wireless telecommunications industry." ETLA Discussion Paper, 1047.

Cohen, S. S., Di Minin, A., Motoyama, Y. and Palmberg, C. (2009), The Persistence of home-bias for important R&D in Wireless Telecom and Automobiles. Review of Policy Research, Vol. 27 No. March, pp. 55-76.

This is the first result of my work with Christopher Palmberg,
from ETLA.
Our analysis of the wireless telecommunication industry finds evidence of significant concentration of strategic R&D in the headquarter countries.

With the help of Prof Steve Cohen, we also paired our results with the work of  my friend Yasuyuki, for a policy oriented piece.

Patents and IP Brokerage

Benassi, M. and A. Di Minin (2008).
Playing in between: IP brokers in markets for technology
